Terry & Amanda
About us...
On Valentine's Day 2005, we were matched through Eharmony's internet
dating site. After some hesitation on Amanda's part (after all it was an
internet dating site), she finally agreed to give Terry her phone number.
And after further debate, she agreed to go out on a date with him.
Our first date was March 20, 2005. Amanda drove down to Albany and
woke Terry up early in the morning to spend the day at the coast. We
visited Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Waxworks, and the Undersea
Gardens. Mo's was quite busy that day - we shared a table with another
couple. Our first date ended after almost eleven hours in each other's
company. We've been inseparable ever since.
On December 25, 2005 Terry proposed to Amanda by leaving her
engagement ring in her Christmas stocking. We were married on
September 10, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Tropicana.
We found our first home on Amanda's 25th birthday. Less than a month
later, on May 3rd, the keys were handed over to us and we moved in
together. We've enjoyed furniture shopping, decorating, and interior
painting without too many disagreements over the color choices. Bridget,
Amanda's elderly golden retriever, now lives with us to. She enjoys the
walks through historic Albany and windows that she can actually peek
out of to bark at people.
Terry is 28 years old and grew up in Brownsville, OR. He graduated from
Central Linn High School in 1996 and Oregon State University in 2002
with a degree in Business Administration. He currently works at the
Target Distribution Center in Albany, OR as a Warehouse Worker.
Amanda is 26 years old and grew up in Lyons, OR. She graduated from
Stayton High School in 1999 and attended Western Oregon University as
an art major in graphic design and painting. She currently works at
Target Distribution Center in Albany, OR as a Packer.
In our free time, we both enjoy working on the house and gardening,
bringing out the BBQ for some steaks, taking walks with Bridget, visiting
with family, getting out of the house, watching movies, and playing World
of Warcraft online.
